The redevelopment of the site ran from 05/2019 to 06/2022 and led to the creation of a residential complex featuring 50 apartments of various sizes. Construction work was preceded by the demolition of a former nurses’ hostel operated by the Archbishopric of Munich and Freising. All excavation work included the proper analysis, extraction and disposal of contaminants and contaminated materials. The development of the city-centre plot right up to the property boundary made site logistics particularly challenging.
The apartments created have two, three or four rooms and are spread across six above-ground floors. A third of them are rated as accessible under the terms of Bavarian construction regulations and DIN 18040. Three of the accessible apartments are suitable for wheelchair users. Each apartment has a designated storage space in the basement and parking space in the underground car park.
The high quality of living targeted is also reflected in outdoor areas, which feature a children’s play area as well as seating carefully integrated into an existing stand of trees.
Kaiser Baucontrol participated in the successful realisation of the project in the role of Project Manager (AHO phases 1-5), and was able to hand over all apartments to their respective tenants by the end of 06/2022.
