This year’s KBC summer party was hosted by our Munich team, who once again organised a wonderful day out. Colleagues from our other branches arrived at our offices in the Bavarian capital on the morning of 6 June, 2024, where the entire KBC community was welcomed with a light lunch and thirst-quenching drinks.
From there we took a coach ride to Gmund on the banks of the Tegernsee. The town was the starting point for a leisurely walk along the crest of the hills lining the lake, which included a pit-stop at the beer garden attached to the Das Tegernsee hotel. Whether they opted for a beer and a hearty snack or coffee and cake, everyone drank in the glorious panoramic views on display.
Refreshed and refuelled, we strolled along the banks of the lake and into the town of Tegernsee, where it was time to hop back on the coach and make the short journey to our evening event at Hof Kaltenbrunn, a location owned and run by Munich’s renowned Käfer delicatessen. Upon arrival on the terrace, we were greeted with not only a delicious aperitif, but also a 30-litre keg of beer. The honour of tapping it was reserved for the winner of a special KBC raffle. The evening continued with a delicious buffet meal, lively conversation and good humour all round!
With full bellies, smiles on our faces and a day full of memories to look back on, we climbed aboard the coach one final time and returned to our hotel in Munich.
