This project will expand storage space at the existing EDEKA logistics centre in Berbersdorf – which is operated by the EDEKA unit responsible for North Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia – from 48,794 m² to 77,254 m².
In addition to four consecutive construction phases, it will also include the modification, expansion and refurbishment of the adjacent former Landgard complex for meat logistics firm Franken-Gut Ost. The total investment of approx. €93.3 million includes modifications to existing buildings, and will increase the number of storable articles from 2,870 to around 12,700 units.
Kaiser Baucontrol has been entrusted with representing the owner-builder (EDEKA) during the construction project. Our brief includes the coordination and fine-tuning of construction-ready plans.
