As reported in the September of last year, the project consisted in the two-phase construction of a new retail park – KAUFPARK Dresden – in Dresden-Nickern. Thanks to the support of Tom Gerhardt and Valentin Edel, the first section was successfully completed in August 2023, with almost all units opening for business straight away. The ceremonial opening of the section created during the second phase of construction took place on 28.10.2024.
The new-build retail park comprises a total gross floor area of 117,000 m² (362m x 165m) and features around 1,700 parking spaces and over 100 ground-floor retail units and F&B outlets. The centre of the park is characterised by a food court and a large event space with a 70 m² screen. Ground-level parking and escalators leading down from the upper parking level ensure ease of access to all retail units.
The three “townhouses” are home to a number of retail units, the Kinderland supervised children’s play area and the offices of KAUFPARK Dresden.
