This late-Gothic church was added to by master builder Thomas Mayr and master carpenter Wolf Köcker in 1716. Various modifications to the building in recent decades – for example the covering of the entire west façade in fibre cement cladding in the 1960s – and the formation of significant cracks in the vault above the central nave as a result of issues with the roof truss necessitated the initiation of a comprehensive refurbishment project.
The measures implemented returned the façade and the church tower to the way there were in the late-Gothic period, with the roof truss repaired and stabilised in order to stop the formation of further cracks in the vault above the central nave. The project also included the redesign of the registry as well as various repairs to the pulpit and gallery in the nave.
