This year’s edition of the annual KBC Summer Party was organised by our Dresden office and held on 4 September 2025. Colleagues from other branches were greeted with big smiles and glorious morning sunshine as they arrived in Dresden, where the day began with a coach trip to the picturesque Schloss Wackerbarth vineyard in Radebeul. After a warm welcome, we were given a short introduction to the secrets of traditional sparkling wine production. A tasting followed to the sounds of popping corks and lively chatter.
Energised by an excellent buffet lunch, we next took a walk along the top of the vine-filled escarpment, with wonderful views out over the vineyards and the Elbe Valley. Our destination was the Aust winery, where we were greeted by Mr Aust himself for a tour of his winemaking facilities and insights into the expert creation of fine wines.
The day finished with a flourish as we settled into the vineyard’s charming garden for a delicious outdoor Mediterranean buffet, with glasses clinking and conversation ringing out under starlit skies.
Late in the evening it was time to board the coach and return to Dresden. Our thanks go out to the organisers for an excellent summer party all round – with culinary highlights, fascinating insights and, above all, great colleagues!
